Time Plan With Milly, 31st Jan

SHOT LIST WITH MILLY PAIN, 31ST JANUARY

17.00 - Jess will pick Milly up and drive to my house, I will set up all of the cameras and the lights in the kitchen for when they arrive so we can be as prompt as possible.

18.00 - We will firstly shoot Milly making a cup of coffee from different angles with different cuts. Close ups of her hands on the kettle, her opening the cupboard, and her pouring the drink. Then we plan on sending a text to Milly (as George) saying something romantic, however we are unsure what yet.
18.30 - Then we are planning to film her in the bathroom doing her make up, and getting into the shower from a canted angle and a medium close up of her legs. This will show the male gaze.
19.00 - One of our aims is to film Milly in the mirror crying and for her to get angry, she will do this after she has got ready and is doing her make up.
19.30 - After this we will film the bedroom scene, and show her getting changed and film her shoes from a close shot. We will film her walking down the stairs from behind ready to go out.
20.30 - Then we will head outside and film her in a big coat using a sparkler to link in with my digipack cover. This shouldn't take too long to film.

This isn't an accurate shot list, and it may possibly go over on the time scale, but as Jess is driving that shouldn't be an issue for any of us.

A risk assessment for the Kitchen can be shown below:

Filming Review, 18th Jan 2013/ Time Management

As expected, due to the amount of snow we weren't able to see Milly at 4pm on the Friday as planned, so instead we improvised and a friend of ours offered to pick her up at around 10pm, which meant we couldn't do the postbox, the coffee machine or the window shots because it was dark.(However this was already expected due to the snowy weather, and the inappropriate setting). However as suggested in our contingency plan, we could film the club scenes in my games room.
By doing this, we filmed a small group of people dancing, drinking and talking like they were in a club environment; we wanted them to act natural so it would look professional and we managed to get some close ups of individuals, and used the smoke machine and lasers to highlight their silhouettes.
We filmed Milly from various angles dancing and laughing with our friends, and filmed her in deep conversations with people as well so we could capture her emotions, which we hope can be shownin pour music video.
Like I previously said in the contingency, we have already planned another date to meet Milly, this time on a weeknight so we can concentrate more and get more done, on Thursday 31th January.

On Thursday the 31st of January we will film the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom scenes. Again this will be filmed in my house in Cleobury Mortimer, (main location) Parents permission for this can be found in the post titled 'Location and Permission.' We have arranged to meet Milly on the 31st at about 5pm as that is when she gets home from college. I will drive to pick her up, and that way we have the whole night to film and get everything done.

WEATHER UPDATE - CONTINGENCY

Today is the 18th January 2013 and all week the midlands has been facing severe snow warnings, a weather forecast can be seen below:

Due to these weather warning, although Milly lives very close to us she stil has to have some form of transport and therefore there may be an issue filming tomorrow's shoot.
We are still going to go ahead with the plan, however we have created a contingency plan just in case:

CONTINGENCY.
As we were planning on having a 'club scene' for our video, we have got together a small group of people to appear in the shoot, and they all live in Cleobury Mortimer (walking distance from the location of my house, Hurst Cottage). Because of this, we will still be able to shoot this scene, and edit Milly into this at a later date.
We have arranged another date with Milly too just incase she can't come, mostly because some of the shots are taken outside, and as the snow will still be present, this will not be suitable for our music video as we want it to look as professional as possble. The texts are shown below:

TIME PLAN with Milly - 18th Jan 2013

SHOT LIST WITH MILLY PAIN, 18TH JANUARY

15.30 - Jess will arrive at my house to set up the equipment in the kitchen with the equipment (lighting, camera and tripods)
16.00 - Milly will come over for four, and we will film her(in appropriate costume) with her using the coffee machine. Using extreme close ups of her hands on the coffee machine, and over the shoulder shots of her making coffee.
16.15 - We will then film her watching the post fall through the letterbox, this will be filmed by an over the shoulder shot, and then a medium close up of her kneeling down picking it up, and finally a close up of her face looking at the post. She will then throw it to the floor and slide down the wall with her head in her hands, we will pan down as she slides and film a long shot of her sat on the floor.
16.40 - We will film her looking into a mirror with smudged make up, and reapplying it. We will need to experiment the camera angles with this but it would be most effective if we could film her reflection in the mirror.
17.00 - We will then walk to Cleobury High Street (2-3 mins approx) and film Milly walking towards the camera, but looking down at the ground.
17.15 - I will drive my car (BMW 1 series) Up the street and Milly will get into the car. I will have a hoody on so her face isn't shown, and will then drive off.  Jess will be filming this, and will use a variety of shots and camera angles, such as long shots (when the car drives off) Close ups (when Milly is looking at the car) and Medium close ups when she is walking up the street.
17.45 - Go back to my house to film the club scene, we will film this in the games room and use different coloured lights, a smoke machine and lasers to give this effect. We will use circular panning and slow motion effects, along with shot reverse shot between her and someone in the club.

Milly will need to leave at about 18.30, so we will have to film the bedroom scene on a later date.

We are going to get Milly to wear a designer D&G star corset type top, as well as some tight leather leggings, and Louboutin shows, all of these are my own, and so I will give her them when she arrives. MIlly is a size 8 and so am I, and so I am sure the clothes will fit her. I will get the clothes ready before she comes, we hope the designer clothing will make her look like she is high-class which goes with our theme.
Pictures of the clothing can be shown:

Time Management

Next we organised to meet Milly Pain so we could film her parts, what we will actually be filming can be seen on the shot lists and time plan of what we plan to do during the shoot. Above show the texts arranging to meet at my house at 4-6 on Friday 18th January, as this was the first date all of us were available. We were planning to film all night however she then text us a few day's later saying she couldn't do this as she had to be elsewhere, so we agreed 2 hours was better than nothing for the shoot.
To conclude, we arranged to meet at 4pm on Friday 18th January at my House, which can be shown in the picture above:

Time Management

Yesterday was the 10th January and so that was the first day of our filming. George rang Jess at 12 o clock in the day asking to meet a bit later, at 6 o clock instead of 4, and so this shifted our plans 2 hours back. However this was fine, and everybody involved was still free and it didn't affect our filming process as we were indoors, and so the lighting didn't change. Jess arrived at my house at 5 o clock (an hour before our performer arrived) to set up the location, we set up all of the equipment, involving the LED lights with tripods, as well as the Video Camera.) We experimented around the room, moving different furniture around such as sofas and lighting, in order to create a professional environment for the shots. We agreed that the lighting was better at the far end of the room, and so this was the main area of filming. We used props within the shots, such as microphones, speakers, a black case and wires around him to try and make it look like a casual environment, however professional at the same time. We also had his guitar in most of the shots, to go with the performance aspect of the shoot.
Previous to the shoot, we asked George to wear the clothes that we had previously agreed, (a dark coloured sweater, jeans, trainers, and a yellow scarf).
We set up an iPod on the speakers that are already in the room, and put his song on, we then asked him to sing whilst playing the guitar, alongside the recorded track, we thought this would increase the professional look to the lip sync. We took 18 videos, including close ups, extreme close ups, medium close ups, and long shots. There were also some different angle shots, such as high angle and low angle shots, therefore we feel we have created a variation of shots. (these can be shown in the shot list too).
Yesterday, we only recorded parts in the Games Room location, however we have decided to arrange another filming next week, where we can extend our filming.

Below is an updated version of my time management, and what has happened as of yet:

Time Management

The second part of our filming will be taken off Milly Pain, therefore we also text her arranging a date, we decided on the 18th Jan, as this was the first Friday that she could make that she was available. Again, we booked the video camera out for the weekend, and arranged to return the video camera on the following Monday (21st Jan). The text's arranging this with Milly can be shown below:

TIME PLAN - 10th Jan 2013

SHOT LIST WITH GEORGE BILLS, 10TH JAN 2013

15:00 - Meet Jess at my house, go to Games room with equipment (cameras, lighting, tripods) and set up, testing lighting etc
16:00 - Meet George in Games Room (as seen in location)
16:10 - Play the song we are using on speakers, get George to play his guitar, and sing, along side the speakers so we get an accurate lip-sync.
16:15 - First shot is going to be off George singing, the camera will be on the tripod, and it will be a long-shot, from a high angle with all of George in the shot. He will play the whole song, and we will record him of rthe whole song.
16:30 - Next we plan to record him from the same position, a long-shot, however we will get him to pace around the room, to show frustration (no singing) this will be done for approx 3 minutes
16:40 - Next we will record George from the right side of him, however he will be stood in the same position, and looking forward, this shot will be hand-held, to create an edgy look, and it will be a medium close up shot, softly moving in and out to a long shot, and a close up, (as it will be hand held) He will then sing the whole song again.
16:50 - We will the record him doing exactly the same things, but sat down on the table. We will record from the left hand side of him this time, on the tripod, filming at a long-shot, showing all of his body.
17:00 - Next we will record him doing the same thing, however standing, and from the back of the room, so that the pool table will be in the shot, we have experienced with all of the lighting in the room, and so in this extreme long shot, we will change the lighting during the shot, whilst he is still singing.

Time Management & RISK ASSESSMENT

We decided to start our filming on the 10th January, so it was really early, therefore giving us more opportunity to take any extra shots if need be. Therefore, we booked out a Panasonic HDC-SD900 Video Camera from the WSFC media department for the 10th January, collecting it at 4:00PM, and returning it the next day (11th Jan) at 11:00AM.
On the 7th Jan, we text George to arrange a date, time and place for the filming, a print screen of these messages can be seen below:

As shown, we agreed to meet on Thursday at 4 o clock, on another text we agree to meet at my house, in the 'Games Room.' This can be seen in my location post, a photograph of this can be seen below:

Before Holding the filming here, I went round the room looking at all of the potential risks there may be in the room, so I could create a risk assessment, to ensure it is safe for ourselves, and our actors to film in this room.
