Choreography/movements and blocking

TEST SHOTS TAKEN MONDAY 17TH DEC
'CLUB SCENE'

We are going to be filming our club scene in the Games Room where I live, a photograph can be shown to the right:

As you can see by the picture, the room does look like a modern bar however our aim is to get this to look like a club, and therefore we have got a smoke machine, strobe light and lasers to try and make this effect look as professional as possible. (I personally own all of this equipment). The aim of this is to see what lighting works, and what doesn't, and in particular to see whether our focus group thinks it is a good idea - and it works with the song.

As shown below are 3 of the clips that we took-

1.
2.3.

As you can see we have numbered each video, 1, 2 and 3. All of the videos have the same sort of effect, with a girl spinning/dancing around to make it look like she is in a club. As you can see in shot 1 the lighting is slightly darker and I think this is the best one as you can see her, however the flashing lights aren't too sharp or crazy. Number 2 however has the strobe light, and not much lighting so it is very dark, as the shutter speed on the camera isn't as quick as the strobe light this causes problems, as you can see, as you can see black lines throughout. Number 3 hasn't got this problem, however it does have lighter lighting, and so you can see the girl clearer. Because of this, I think 1 and 3 are the best however I left my focus group to decided and I had a group vote, my findings are below:

Video 1 - 5
Video 3 - 1

My results showed that the majority preferred the first video and so I edited this on Adobe Premier Pro to show what it would look like with the music, at the correct time, I also slowed down teh speed by 50% so it went in time with the music, at a more professional pace.

In our actual video we plan to fill the room with people to get a very professional club look. (the pictures after represent the bedroom scene that comes after this shot.)
