Organisation of location/permission

In our music video we plan to have a selection of different locations so the music video looks professional  and is exciting to watch, so to not bore our viewers. Therefore we have considered a range of different locations which we may use.

One of the main locations will be in my house-
LOCATION:
Hurst Cottage
The Hurst
Cleobury Mortimer
DY14 8EG
WORC

Various parts of my house will appear in the music video, for example the video will commence in my kitchen with  Milly making coffee, she will then walk in to the hall. My lounge will also be used in the video to create a'club' affect, by using smoke effects and lighting effects such as lasers. The bedroom is also going to be in the video, as Milly will take somebody there. We also have a 'games room' out house which will appear in the video as it has a pool table/bar effect, and George will be here. Obviously to film in these locations I won't need permission as it is my own home, however I have emailed my mum to confirm that this is OK. The email can be seen below:

Hi Rach,
I would just like to clarify that we have permission to use the house when filming our music video for our A2 Media Studies course work this year.
If you could send me an email confirming this, then that would be great. I will specify the date at a nearer time however it is likely to be early Jan. We will happily use the house when you are not present so to not disturb you.
Kind Regards,
your loving daughter, Sam, and friend, Jess.

We plan to use 5 different location in my house, as talked about above. These will be the Kitchen, the hall, the bedroom, the lounge and the games room. Below, we have taken a photograph of all of these locations to get the image of what it will be like. By having these images, this means that we can also have a good idea of angle shots, and different ideas that we can come up with throughout the process.

Milly Pain lives at the Cleobury Golf Club which is approximately 10 minutes from my house, this means that she will need some form of transport when arriving at the destination; therefore we have looked at a selection of transport options so that she will be present whenever we need her. Firstly, we have done some research into the bus timetable near the local area and there is a bus which picks up right outside of her house, and drops off right outside of mine, the bus is the 292, and the timetable can be shown below - we have sent Milly this timetable so she can refer to it when making plans to come to my house. (I have highlighted the times that the bus will drive past her house, and we will notify her with details of this when we have arranged to film).

If the bus is a problem, she has also said that her parents would happily drive her to my house if we arrange a time and date for this, however this needs to be done near the time. Me and Jess both have a valid driving licence and will happily pick her up if she has no other option to get to our house.
Either way there are many options that we have thought about and so she will always have a route to the location.

George Lives in Cleobury Mortimer in a house which is located approximately 2 minutes walk from my house, which is the location many of our shots will be filmed. To make this clearer, I have print screened and edited the two houses on Google maps to show both our houses to put into context how close they are. As shown, George's house has a blue circle around it, and Mine has a red. Therefore, with the short distance between us it will be very easy for George to get to my house at any time whether we need him in short notice or not. George also has a valid driving licence and a car to make this even easier, if we decide to film at a location further away, at a later date.

Because of all the research that we have done regarding the two main cast members in our music video, we believe they are both very easily accessible and so they will be reliable throughout this process, therefore they were both an excellent choice and we feel very organised and positive when discussing the dates and times.

We are also planning to film some shots on the street, in the dark to get a shot looking something like the one to the right (which we print screened from Ed Sheeran's video, the A team - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAWcs5H-qgQ)

It will ideally be black or white, the street we are going to do this on is Cleobury Mortimer High Street because this is a nice, quiet street and so we won't interfere with pedestrians too much, there are also many street lights so we will be able to capture the natural lighting. A practice shot of this will be updated ASAP. Below is a photograph of the street that we will be using when our actress will walk across the footpath.

As this is public property, we don't need permission to film in this location.

Prior to the event we will be completing a full, detailed risk assessment that will be accepted by a member of WSFC staff and therefore we will ensure that each location we plan to use will be safe, and there will be no health and safety issues - photo's of us at the locations doing the risk assessment will be done near the time of filming.
